From Sri Lanka’s aristocratic families to Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia to the touring Australian cricket team of 1946, its corridors and gardens have echoed with the footsteps of history.
After many decades empty, the estate was re-discovered in 2010, overrun with jungle and near ruin.
